Newport Landing Whale Watching
Whale watching tours are available all year long at Newport Beach. The Newport Landing is the place to be from December though April because the Grey whales migrate right past Newport Harbor. Blue whales are seen more when the water is warmer in the summer months.
While you are whale watching at the Newport Landing, you are likely to see dolphins, sharks and many other creatures of the ocean. Whale watching is a great way to spend the day in California especially if you like nature.
Private tours for whale watching are available. You can charter a boat and take a short cruise for a small number of people or a whole organization. There are public tours available as well, normally three depart the harbor each day.
Bring your camera along with you because you can go up to the observation deck and capture photos like you never imagined. We’ve heard that many people take their cameras whale watching and end up taking more photos of the breathtaking views than of the actual whales. Either way, the photo opportunities are endless here in Southern California.
The ships at Newport Landing Whale Watching were built specifically for whale watching and provided plenty of comfortable seating, restrooms, snack-bar and always have a knowledgeable staff on hand to provide you with the best information possible.
