Reservations and Cancellations Policy
Reservations require full payment in advance. Refunds are given with with 3 days notice of cancellation or when MBK cancels for safety reasons.
Light rain or fog will not always cancel as long as water conditions remain calm. Overcast days can provide ideal paddling conditions with some of the best wildlife viewing.
Tours, Classes and Other Guided Events
Reservations are recommended year-round.
Rentals
We recommend reservations for rentals during the summer and fall seasons and holiday weekends. Other times of the year you can usually walk in, but reservations will always guarantee your kayak. Walk-ins are welcome—first come, first served. Arrive early for best selection.
Confirmation of Online Reservations
We cannot guarantee on line reservations for any program within 24 hours of the event. It is best to call 800-649-5357 or 831-373-5357 to place a reservation with us.
Online reservations are not confirmed until you receive a "Reservation Confirmation" email from us (not the "Monterey Bay Kayaks Order Confirmation" email).
If your reservation time is not available, we will contact you as soon as possible.
