Crystal Cove State Park
The Crystal Cove State Park is located in Southern California along the coastal waters.
They welcome you to bring your dog while you are visiting their park but ask that you keep them on a 6 foot or shorter leash and they are only allowed on the paved areas of the park. You cannot take your dog onto the beach or in te backcountry and you certainly can't leave them in your car unattended.
They don't allow any kind of alcohol in the park at all. You can't have any kind of glass container near the beach for obvious reasons.
You can enjoy the beautiful views of the cliffs but you are not allowed to try and climb any of them for safety reasons.
The tidepools are a big attraction at the Crystal Cove State Park. You will see all sorts of animals and shells while you are there. The park doesn't permit you to collect any of these species but you can take a piece of driftwood as a souvenir if you choose.
This park is great for those who love watersports. The water's off the shore of the park have been designated as an underwater park so that they can be preserved for years to come so everyone can experience it as it is naturally.
There is no lauching any kind of vessel here, so don't bring anything but a kayak because they do have a place designated for that purpose only.
There is 3 different areas you can hike to and even camp if you want to. You must have everything you need with you when you head out to the backcounty, they have no supplies available at the camping locations.
